AI productivity platform Plus Docs took a state-by-state look at what US workers are most interested in using AI tools to assist them with work. Plus Docs analyzed 20 terms using Google Keyword Planner for nationwide and state-specific searches. The phrases focused on finding AI help with common office tasks like emails, presentations, meeting transcription, writing, SEO, research, and data analysis.
The results? Those who live in Georgia turn to artificial intelligence the most, averaging 52.1 AI-related searches per 100,000 state residents—37% higher than the national average. Intriguingly, writing is the task that Georgians are most interested in offloading, as the state's top searches were for “AI writer,” “AI writer free,” and “free AI writer.”
In New York, which searches for AI almost as much as Georgia, more specific writing help is needed. New Yorkers mostly look for AI help with writing emails and checking their grammar (presumably because New Yorkese isn’t understood everywhere).
